Parental Contract

Sessions available

We offer sessions as follows:

  • Full day attendance, starting from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.  Breakfast, lunch and tea will be provided.

  • Half day sessions, starting at either 8.00 a.m. or 1.00 p.m.  The morning session will include breakfast and lunch; the afternoon session will include tea.

  • There is a minimum attendance of either 2 full days or 5 half days (either mornings or afternoons) per week.

A daily rate will be charged, regardless of the time that the child is dropped off or picked up. The same criteria will be applied to the half-day sessions.

Sessions cannot be swapped on an ad-hoc basis as this makes it very difficult to maintain the correct staff/child ratio.  However, if notice is given that the session change will be a permanent arrangement, then sessions can be changed. With notice and where there is availability, extra sessions may be bought.  Fees must be paid on the day and are separate to your monthly payment.

Fees

Our hourly fee is £7.50 so sessions work out as follows:

Per week                                          Per month

Two days a week - £150               £650

Three days a week - £225            £975

Four days a week - £300              £1300

Five days a week - £375               £1625

  • We are closed for two weeks and two days at the end of August/beginning of September; for one week and one day at Easter, and one week and two days at Christmas.  Please note that we do charge for the times that we are closed.

  • Our fees are due one month in advance on the first day of each month. We calculate the fees by finding the weekly cost and then multiplying this by 52 (weeks of the year) and dividing by 12 (months of the year).  Payment must be paid by BACS.

  • For those children who are due to leave us at the end of the academic year (August) fees are charged for the month of August.  If parents do not wish to pay for August, then we would ask that parents give notice on or before July 1st - i.e. one month's notice - and their child will therefore leave at the end of July and will not be eligible to remain in our nursery beyond July 31st.

  • Nursery fees must be received by the seventh of the month at the very latest.  If fees are not received by that date, then our Non-Payment of Fees policy will apply.

  • The Nursery accepts Childcare Vouchers. Please would you confirm the identity of the scheme with the owner, Mrs Zarkar Akhtar, before registering your child.  Only electronic vouchers can be accepted.

  • We offer a 5% discount to a younger sibling where an older sibling attends the nursery.  Once the older sibling leaves the nursery, the discount will no longer apply.

  • If your child cannot attend nursery for any reason (whether through illness or holidays), fees are still charged as our staffing costs are incurred whether your child attends or not.

Fees for children eligible for Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE)

  • Chingford House Nursery is registered to accept FEEE for all 2, 3 and 4 year-old children in the term following their birthday. Children are entitled to 12 hours of free education each week, which is stretched over the period when the nursery is open.

  • The nursery also offers 30-hour funded places to the eligible parents of 3 and 4 year olds  Please speak to Zarkar Akhtar about this as we can only offer the 30 hours to those children who are here for 4 or 5 full days a week.

  • Parents who qualify for funding will have this amount deducted from the invoice.

  • If you wish to take up your free nursery education, you are required to complete and sign a FEEE Parental Declaration form.

  • Any extra sessions will be charged at the full fee rate as the FEEE has already been deducted from fees.

  • If you only wish to access the 15 hours, and do not require any further hours, then the hours we offer will be 8.00 - 11.00 a.m. for five mornings a week and will operate only during term time i.e. for 38 weeks of the year.

Late Picking up fee

  • There is a charge for children being picked up late. The late fee should be paid on the same day and the charge is £1.00 per minute.

Deposit and notice period

  • To secure a place at Chingford House Nursery, a deposit of £600 is required.  The deposit will be deducted from the last month’s fees, so long as the required one month’s notice of leaving has been given.  In the event of insufficient notice, the deposit will be retained in lieu of notice and if the outstanding amount is more, this must be paid in full.

  • If you wish to cancel your child's place before their confirmed start date with us, then we require one month's notice prior to their start date. In that case, your deposit will be refunded in full. If you cancel less than one month before the confirmed start date with us then, depending on the number of days/weeks notice that you give, the amount of deposit returned will be reduced to reflect this.

  • For  children who are only accessing the 15 hours FEEE, no deposit will be required.

Nappies and formula milk

Parents are expected to bring in nappies and any associated products as these will not be provided by the nursery. Similarly, formula milk will need to be provided by the parents.
